Our Autumn "Get Back on Your Bike" program is a 6 week, 150 mile challenge that reintroduces bicycling as a healthy, fun and social activity. No matter what your level of fitness, it's a fun and body friendly way to exercise. The program costs $29.99 to participate, but includes the opportunity to earn up to $90 in equipment, service, education, rides and gift cards.

This program is designed for riding at home, in your neighborhood, at local bicycle trails or on your favorite back roads.  It's open to employees, spouses/partners and related adult family members.

Register On-line, Then Get Your Starting Essentials!

All program participants will receive the following starting essentials before the program starts :
-  A bicycle safety check / inspection.  Click here for a full safety inspection description.
It's for your safety, all participants must pass a bike safety check to enter programs.
-  A Bontrager Trip 1 cycling computer installed
-  Your BGI program reward/discount card : with 5% off regular prices for bicycles and 10% off regular retail prices for clothing and accessories.  Good through May, 2014!

During registration, you will indicate if you are getting your starting essentials:
 1. At your Sponsor's on-site  Kickoffs. For your convenience, Muncie based organizations and IUPUI have  sponsored on-site Kickoffs.  Click here for more information.  All other organizations will need to go to BGI stores.

2. Or at Kirk's Bike Shop in Muncie or any of BGI three Indy area stores
Two days after registering and paying on-line,
drop by Kirk's or any BGI store location to pick up your essentials.  Click here for store addresses.  If our store mechanics are real busy, you might be asked to leave your bike and pick up the next day. No appointments are needed.

Measure Your Progress. It's Yours to Keep!

BGI and Kirk's mechanics will be programming and installing a Bontrager Trip 1 cycling computer (normally $35 installed). This five function cycling computer measures overall program miles (odometer), trip distance and max speed for last trip, current bike speed and current time.

During the program, you will enter your weekly mileage on-line.  Your odometer provides you instant feedback in your quest to achieve a 150 miles.  Best of all, it's yours to keep after the program concludes. If you have a cycling computer already, you can choose a $25 BGI Gift Card alternative to start instead. 

Six Week Program Start / Weekly Reminders

Pick up your starting essentials before the program begins on Mon., 9/16.  Following on-line registration, you will receive weekly email program reminders and a "secret" participant program web site address.  What to know the secret?   Register for fun and fitness!

Learn and Earn up to $20 in BGI Gift Cards

Our program provides you with on-site workshops and/or a variety of store clinics to help you become a better and safer rider. Attend any two and earn up to $20 in BGI Gift CardsClick here for more information including dates, times and places.  During program registration, you will be asked to sign up for on-site workshops.

Autumn Colors Team Contests (optional)

Want to add a fun element to your program, while increasing your chances of reaching your goal of 150 miles?   Then form or asked to be randomly assigned to a "virtual" team of five to complete in a friendly competition for prizes.  

Participants on teams are twice as likely to complete the program!  Join and encourage others while increasing your chances of finishing.
